CNN Article from Sept 20, 2006

Interesting to look at what was said about EEStor and Zenn Motor back in 2006 on CNN.  For those trying to guestimate the cost of a conversion kit, here's a little help, "an EEStor-powered engine with a range roughly equivalent to that of a gasoline-powered car woudl cost about $5,200."

The $5,200 figure is close to the estimates I did here as the electric motor is $2300 and the EEStor EESU would be $2100. That gives a total of $4400 in cost and $800 in profit.

Since the conversion kit will require a bunch of extra parts plus installation the kit cost will probably be much more, but the numbers are at least in the same ballpark.

My guess is ZENN will be able to charge a premium because of the recent up tick gas prices so these estimates are probably low.
